As we prepare for We10 Conference in Orlando, FL, this fall, the University of Louisville chapter has realized that the current Disney volunteering campaign is an ideal opportunity for chapters considering attendance at the conference. This spring, we are also working to do more community service, so we will be participating in the Disney “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day” event. Your group volunteers for a day with one of Disney’s chosen organizations, and each volunteer gets a free ticket to a Disney park to use this year. If there is interest from your chapter to go to Orlando a day early, you would be able to set-up a date for a group volunteer day, and no one would have to pay to go to Disney World while you are in Orlando. Anyone that is even considering going this fall could participate in the service, and those that get to go would get a nice reward.
You just search online for your area and select a project that you would like to do. If enough of your members sign up for the same project, then you will be able to pick the date that you serve and make it your own.
