Be a collegiate leader in Region G!

Are you interested in taking your SWE leadership to the next level? Do you want to make a difference in programs for collegiate members; this is your opportunity to apply! You could be your region’s next Region Collegiate Representative (RCR).  Due to growing membership in our region, Region G has expanded the role and will have two RCRs in FY13.  Region G is still looking for one candidate for the Region Collegiate Representative position!

The position of Region Collegiate Representative (RCR) is an outstanding opportunity to interact with professional women while developing leadership attributes. The RCR is responsible for representing collegiate members’ interests among regional leaders.  These leadership opportunities sharpen your career skill-set in the areas of leading and facilitation, group dynamics and communication, and project leadership.  Plus, the RCRs from each region will have the opportunity to attend next summer’s Collegiate Leadership Forum in Minneapolis, MN.

The Qualification for RCR are:

  • Member of SWE for at least 2 years and in good standings
  • Be a collegiate member during term (grad or undergrad)
  • Good Academic Standing

The qualities of an RCR are:

  • Dedicated to SWE
  • Have good communication skills
  • Organized
  • Able to be flexible as SWE structure changes 
  • Desire to do the job
  • General knowledge of SWE
  • Interest in Society work
  • Able to commit time
  • Able to travel
  • Desire to pursue leadership skills
