2016 Region G Conference Bidding Info

It’s that time of year to submit bids for hosting the 2016 Region G Conference! The 2015 Region G Conference will be hosted by West Virginia University on February 6-8, and we will decide on the location of the next conference here.

Hosting a SWE Regional Conference is a great opportunity for professional and collegiate sections in combination with Members-at-Large (MAL’s) to feature their SWE leadership, engineering community, and hometown charm.

I hope that you have been inspired by the great SWE members that have hosted Region G Conferences previously! Hosting a SWE Region G Conference is a great and rewarding leadership opportunity. So, assemble your support group and stakeholders to submit a bid package for consideration by February 2, 2015.

This document Region G Conference Bidding for 2016_FINAL is available to assist you in understanding the process of bidding to host a region conference. It is designed as a guide to assist in identifying the most important information to include in your bid package.

Eligibility Requirements:
Sections interested in bidding to host a Region Conference shall be in good standing with the Society.

Monday, February 2: Bid submission & presentation files due to Region G Governor
Saturday, February 7: PowerPoint presentation at Region Conference

Voting Process:
Voting will take place by Region Council Representatives via secret ballot at the 2015 Region G Conference on February 7, 2015, with results presented at the closing banquet that evening.
