Free Collegiate Coaching: Student to Professional Program – Apply Today

SWE’s collegiate activities and programs are a vital component of our professional development program, which is why we are excited to be rolling out the SWE Collegiate Coaching: Student to Professional program. Get access to your own coach by completing the application here.

SWE collegiate members who participate in this program will have the opportunity to work with an experienced career and leadership development coach who will focus on (not exhaustive):

  • Resume review
  • Developing plans for leadership development
  • Honing interview skills
  • Strategies for successfully transitioning into the workforce

Each participating collegiate is entitled to two one-hour sessions and up to five email exchanges. The coach and student may meet in person if possible, but it is expected that communication will be done remotely through phone, email and virtual meeting software (e.g. Skype, Google Hangout, or WebEx). All of the coaches selected for this program specialize in working with women in STEM fields.

Applicant Criteria:

  • Sophomores in college or above – preference will be given to juniors and seniors in a STEM program.
  • A desire to work with a coach to set one goal such as a resume review, developing a plan for leadership development, honing interview skills, and/or strategies for successfully transitioning to a STEM related job.

If you are interested in participating in this program and meet the above criteria, please submit your application today.

This program has been made possible through generous funds from The Alcoa Foundation.
